Dear Participants,

Our local cuisine competition, to be held in Datça as part of the Almond Blossom Festival, will begin at 11:00 AM. To ensure the event runs smoothly, we kindly request that all participants arrive at the competition area no later than 10:30 AM.

The competition aims to preserve and celebrate Datça’s local culinary culture, production traditions, and geographical identity. Accordingly, dishes submitted for the competition must be prepared using local products from Datça and its surrounding areas, adhering to traditional recipes. Entries or methods that do not reflect this local character will be excluded from evaluation.

During the setup phase, participants will be asked to provide brief information regarding the dishes they are preparing and the ingredients used.
• Participants in the dessert category are required to bring their dishes fully prepared to the competition area, performing only the final presentation and plating on-site.
• Participants in the main course and olive oil-based dishes categories are expected to complete lengthy preliminary preparation stages beforehand, performing only the final touches and presentation at the competition venue.

Adherence to the points outlined above is crucial to ensure the competition proceeds fairly and smoothly in accordance with the established criteria. We thank all participants and wish them success.
